Masterpiece ruined by Ubisoft Connect launcher. You have to log in each time you need to play this piece of sh*t. Ubisoft added achievements to Steam, very good, but why did you not make it a standalone Steam version without the Ubisoft trash launcher? **also no online is sad**
Also, to optimize the experience with high FPS, you need to do this because FPS is f*cked in this game:
-install "Large Address Aware"
-then in Task Manager - details, then - set affinity and make the game run on 4 cores only.

The game itself is awesome it has an awesome story, setting and gameplay loop, nothing to complain about that, but I can't recommend this game when it crashes every single time it has to load something. You die? it crashes, want to fast travel? it crashes, is there a loading screen inside a mission? it crashes, you look at the game wrong? it crashes, you breathe? It crashes.
I was able to get the game to a somewhat stable state by
- Turning off every overlay (Steam, Ubisoft Connect, Nvidia)
- Turning off Steams Video Recorder
- Running the game in Windows 8 compatibility mode
- Running the game as administrator
- Reinstalling latest drivers
Sometimes a pop up would come up on the screen saying that their servers were not able to authenticate the legitimacy of my game and it would force close the game, are you kidding me?
To fix that I had to close Ubisoft Connect from the Task Manager, open it again and launch the game from the play button on Ubisoft Connect. But sometimes I would have to restart the whole PC to get it to work again
If you are interested in playing this game just pirate the damn thing, play it on a different platform, or emulate it. Anything but this.

Скоро исполнится 15 лет, как Джейсон Броди спас своих друзей и отомстил за них; как Ваас Монтенегро произнес свою легендарную речь про безумие; а в целом и в общем, остров Рук Айленд обрел счастье и покой. Far Cry 3 - это культовая игра. Чтобы понять её влияние в своё время, необходимо понимать тот факт, что в мире в те годы сложно было найти человека, который был бы не знаком с Far Cry 3, легендарные фразы Вааса цитировались везде, где только можно; поведение Вааса копировали геймеры по всему миру, а прическу "Как у Вааса" хотел каждый мальчишка в то время; снимались фильмы и сериалы, а красочный и идеальный остров стал вторым домом.
Far Cry 3 - культовая игра!
После успеха первой части компания Ubisoft должна была доказать геймерам, что успех первой части - это не везение. В своё время первая часть произвела целый фурор в геймерских кругах за счет красивой графики, красочного и яркого острова, а главное - открытого мира, игрок в буквальном смысле мог делать всё, что он захочет. Сюжет был, конечно, но его присутствие было чисто для галочки. В середине 2004 года Ubisoft выпускает Far Cry 2: основной упор сделали на уникальные механики, которые используются по сей день, усовершенствовали движок, сделали подобие сюжета, улучшили графику и проработали другие мелочи, - геймеры игру приняли хорошо, однако все ожидали не этого - в воздухе повис вопрос. Серия по прежнему страдала отсутствием таких ключевых моментов, как внятного сюжета и запоминающихся героев и персонажей.

29 ноября 2012 года на свет появляется одна из самых культовых игр - Far Cry 3, которая в последующем и определит развитие серии игр Far Cry и других продуктов от Ubisoft. В игре появился понятный остров, на котором происходит место действия, в игре появились герои и персонажи с понятными сюжетными концептами, в игре появился сюжет - лучший на то время, в игре появилась новая и передавая на то время графика, улучшенный арсенал оружия, арсенал водного транспорта и наземного. В игре появилось всё то, чего так не хватало предыдущим частям серии.

В Far Cry 3 очень глубокий нестандартный сюжет, пусть и с первого раза может показаться, что эта история очень красивая и веселая. С самого начала игры нас знакомят с сюжетом, проводя параллели через "Алису в стране чудес", на каждом этапе игры есть свой, очень глубокий смысл, который нам дают через экран загрузки
Несколько минут Алиса стояла, не говоря ни слова, — только глядела на раскинувшуюся у ее ног страну. Это была удивительная страна.
По мере прохождения глубинный смысл меняется только в зависимости от места действия и конкретного персонажа в игре, у каждого персонажа будет своя логика и скрытый смысл. От беззаботного молодого человека, чьи родители богатые - Джейсон превращается постепенно во взрослого человека с очень большими ментальными и психическими проблемами. Джейсон в начале игры и в середине - два разных человека, о чем свидетельствуют его фразы при разговоре с друзьями, они и сами, кажется, не сильно-то и узнают его.
Ubisoft уже в 2012 году начали делать акцент на неоднозначных моментах в сюжете: с одной стороны у нас два злодея - Ваас и Цитра. Они предстают перед нами, как совершенное зло, но с другой стороны - они не убивают людей, не порабощают, в рабство не берут и их бесплатной силой не пользуются. У них просто свои локальные правила для них, а обычные местные жители живут себе в джунглях и существуют - ведут свою обычную жизнь. В ходе сюжета на это всегда и сетует Ваас с Цитрой:
Джейсон, а кто здесь главное зло? Мы или ты? Посмотри, скольких людей ты убил! В чем они виноваты? Ты истребляешь их пачками, только потому что тебе так хочется! Так кто здесь главное зло, Джейсон?
И всё это, естественно, прикрепляется крылатыми фразами Вааса про безумие, да и вообще, стоит отметить, что слово "Безумие" в игре используется настолько часто, что весь сюжет и глубокий смысл строится вокруг этого слова - безумие.

Что сделало Far Cry 3 культовой?
Отвечая на этот вопрос невозможно не затронуть такой важный момент, как ярких и запоминающихся персонажей. Спросить любого геймера, с чем у него ассоциируется 3 часть серии - это будет в первую очередь очаровательный остров, остров мечты и, конечно же, Ваас. Ну и, конечно же, во вторую очередь это уже все остальные персонажи, яркие, живые, и такие родные. По словам самих разработчиков, они даже не предполагали, что Ваас сможет так покорить сердца фанатов, что про него будут говорить последующие 15 лет. Каждая последующая серия - "А где Ваас?", "А в файлах игры ничего нет? Может быть, намек на Вааса в следующий части?". Ваас Монтенегро стал настолько культом, что, похоже и является главной причиной популярности Far Cry 3, но не единственной.
Русскоязычное комьюнити должно быть благодарно, в первую очередь, золотому голосу России - Константину Карасику, Константин буквально создал того Вааса, которого мы и полюбили, который по сей день в наших сердцах. В целом и в общем, 3 часть серии - это про красивую и очень яркую историю, а главное - впечатляющую, именно то самое впечатление с нами по сей день.
Если сейчас разговаривать про Far Cry 3, то конечно, у неё есть недостатки. В первую очередь - это отсутствие лора у острова - места действия игры, отсутствие внятного лора у всех персонажей. Реплики, которые используют большинство персонажей - ещё из ранней версии игры, когда у некоторых героев, в том числе и у главного героя, мы уже точно знаем, что изначально Джейсон планировался с совершенно другим Лором, но все вышло так, как вышло, и все эти нюансы не отменяют её заслуги перед игровом комьюнити.
Стоит ли игру покупать? Конечно, учитывая, что Far Cry 3 появляется на всех распродажах по 90% скидке - это уже дешевле, чем пачка чипсов, с которой когда-то смеялись в свое время. Окунитесь в этот идеальный мир, в эту впечатляющую и очень яркую историю, чтобы понять, что возвело игру в статус культовой. Даже на сегодняшний день по мнению фанатов, Far Cry 3 является лучшей частью серии!

Better off buying a console to play it because it is as unstable as Ubisoft's stock price.
Will constantly crash on you doing normal things like exploring, shooting, climbing, watching cutscenes.
you shouldnt have to spend hours figuring how to make a game on Steam work properly after buying. It is Ubisoft's job to maintain their games not the community.

Сначала я купил эту игру гифтом. Поиграл, начались вылеты. Оформил возврат средств, решил, что ладно - куплю нормально напрямую со своего кошелька Steam, чтобы всё было по-человечески. Я искренне надеялся, что игра со временем обновится и патчи всё пофиксят, но чуда не произошло.
Купил во второй раз за свои кровные. И что я получил в итоге? Эта ♥♥♥♥♥♥ просто намертво отказывается работать. По советам из интернета пытаешься снизить графику или переключиться на DirectX 9, чтобы этот кусок кода не жрал ресурсы и (так как игра выделяет себе только 2гб озу) не вылетал - в ответ игра полностью на ♥♥♥ ломается и начинает сыпать системными ошибками 0xc000007b. Это просто кал ♥♥♥♥♥♥, а не оптимизация.
Вместо того чтобы играть в шедевр своего времени, я:
Сижу как еблэн и переустанавливаю кучу системных библиотек C++
Пытаюсь реанимировать ♥♥♥♥♥♥ DirectX
Ковыряюсь в файлах конфигурации "GamerProfile.xml"
Запускаю скрипты через командную строку от админа
Игра ♥♥♥♥♥ в плане технического состояния из-за этой вечной ошибки. Ubisoft, вы серьезно продаете этот нерабочий кал в Steam? Почему для обычного запуска я должен получать высшее техническое образование, чтобы ПРОСТО насладиться самой игрой? За что, в принципе, я вообще плачу? За самомазохизм? - ну спасибо блят!
Худший экспириенс перепокупки игры в моей жизни. Сама игра - легенда, но её нынешнее техническое состояние в Steam и отношение разработчиков к оптимизации под современные ПК - это просто абсолютный позор.
Ждал патчей -> Не рекомендую покупать эту недоделанную парашу, пока они полностью не починят лаунчер и библиотеки.

Юбисофт - криворукие уебаны!
Когда то проходил игру на пиратке. Недавно приобрел по скидке и решил перепройти. В итоге вместо перепрохождения, я больше времени потратил на попытки починить вылеты и ошибки, которые я ловил каждые 30 минут во время прохождения.
Попробую ещё починить. Дай бог, смогу нормально поиграть.
Однако осадок остался, и отзыв менять я не собираюсь, дабы потенциальный покупатель трижды подумал, нужно ли ему такое удовольствие.
Советую спиратить! С пираткой у меня таких проблем не возникало.
Replaying it again for the third time to grab all the achievements and all I can think about is how deeply annoying so many parts of this game are.
Unskippable cutscenes, requires the Ubisoft servers to be online to play, annoying, vapid and dumb characters, getting jumped constantly by wild animals & the associated QTEs, and the cherry on top is the staple Ubisoft gameplay loop of activating towers and unlocking fast travel points. The default FOV is enough to make me barf and I had to go edit a file to fix it.
The whole game is very clunky between every inconsistent "Hold to interact" button which can either be instantly completed on press or take five seconds to activate. I found myself most frustrated with the end helicopter escape segment, because the game would consistently spawn rocketeers just outside where the game allowed me to shoot. This caused me to die and fail once right near the end of the sequence, and take over half damage before I made it through on the second attempt.
Another item among annoyances is that the 70m bow achievement doesn't really feel well thought out, the marksman sight is counterintuitive and actually makes distance shooting very difficult, and it isn't until later in the game where you pick up a couple of skills to make it so your arrows won't veer so wildly off course anymore. This wouldn't be as big of an issue if it weren't for missed shots being enough to alert enemies, who start moving and sprinting directly towards you even if they can't see you. So not only is it harder to hit them, but they quickly close the gap and suddenly that 70m shot can't be gotten.
And the rock achievement is very specific, you most likely won't unlock it by normally playing the game because in order for it to proc you have to distract an enemy with a rock, let them investigate it, and then let them walk all the way back to where you had initially distracted them from. The good news is that you can cheese the achievement if you've already beaten the game with a Wanted Dead mission and using the same guard over and over again. But between these and two other achievements that are just protracted fetch quests (genuinely grateful that the relic achievement only requires 60/120 collected to pop), it's just not very fun to do.
The gameplay so desperately wants to be fun, and for the purposes of this last playthrough I set the game to beginner so I could really go all out with combat but it's just really rough. Sometimes the fun shines through brightly, but I feel like the introduction of heavies ironically weigh it down substantially. Bulletsponges aren't fun, and while you can use a takedown on heavies for a huge XP bonus I found that getting the indicator to pop up for really any enemy was extremely inconsistent and lead to a few deaths because I couldn't tell if I could or couldn't get a takedown finisher mid-combat.
I didn't expect to die at all on beginner but it happened shockingly often, and rarely did I feel like I had been responsible for making a mistake. It usually felt like the game just pulled some BS. One mission I hated in particular was escorting some informant to his documents. Escorts are rough to begin with but the problem was that this mission starts in the middle of a minefield while you're getting shot at, so if you sprint to cover your friend what ends up happening is you trigger one mine, heal, run closer, trigger another mine, and your escort died because of the mines you just set off. It took four restarts for me to kinda figure out where all the mines were and finally progress, and after that the mission felt generic.
I played these missions YESTERDAY and just caught myself mentally merging that mission with another one where you escort Sam to defuse bombs.
The sound quality varies pretty wildly but I think the worst of it is in the Rakyat and native throwaway lines that sound like they were recorded on a fisher price spy toy.
The upsides are the soundtrack has a few really good songs, Vaas, mods, some of the best feeling shotguns I've ever seen in a game, and customizable controls.
But despite remembering my first two playthroughs extremely fondly, it just doesn't hold up for me anymore.
I was going to 100% Far Cry 4 after this but between that requiring $30 of DLC for several achievements and the way this revisiting of Far Cry 3 went, I think I'll be better off to avoid the 4th entry of the franchise a while longer.
I really loved this game after it's release but now, after it's purchase during the Ubisoft's discounted games, i expected for entertainment like before.
But sadly it's impossible right now, after i did start it's game, especially wanted to experience the maximum difficulty for challenge and fun, the game kept crashing during prologue where i had to run away from Vaas. After second attempt to play this game now it crashes on the menu after start. I really love it's Far Cry games, but i have no choice than refund it's game.

могу начать с того что игра переполнена эмоциями я играл в эту игру с 8 лет у брата на компе еще когда не знал что такое стим и сейчас после покупки и игры в нее официально могу сказать это одна из лучших частей игры ни один фарк край не сравнится с ней
из персонажей самый лучший конечно Васс у него некий вайб психа хотя он им и является и по прохождению видно как он приживается к Джейсону ну в конце концоы убивает его жаль конечно что слили Васса я уверен он бы смог убить джейсона если бы не его ебучие супер способности
чуть не забыл опитимизация игры отличная на ультрах стабильно 60-90 фпс снизу мои характеристи компа
у а кто читает и думает покупать или нет я говорю ДА покупайте она стоит своих денег

Все еще одна из лучших частей, не смотря на некоторую скудность механик по сравнению с последующими частями. Тем не менее классный симулятор захвата аванпостов в джунглях с отстрелом пиратов, наемников и истреблением редких экземпляров местной фауны. Злодей шизик в комплекте. Чтобы прочувствовать драйв игры необходимо забыть про душный стелс, взять гранатомет и кайфовать!
За все время игры вылетов не ловил.
Из минусов только терпимое:
НЕлюбимый всеми лаунчер убейсофта.
В главном меню видеокарта резко загружается в 100%)) Хотя в самой игре 30% от силы) На пиратке такой дичи не было.
Короче говоря на распродажах по скидке можно и прикупить чтобы понастольгировать на бубсы Цитры)

Far Cry 3 is a must play for sure
This videogame is so good literally every game ubisoft has ever done has been a copypaste of this one, except for the story. Gameplay is fantastic gunplay feels smooth and killing enemies is satisfactory plus you have a reason to do so you're not just mindlessly killing enemies for the sake of it, the story is simple and realistic in some ways, it involves drug usage and stuff so i wouldn't let a kid play this game, although most kids nowadays play some weird ♥♥♥♥ anyways, if you ever have some spare money and see this game on sale definitely buy it, you won't regret it, this game deserves all the praise it receives plus it's a relatively short game, you can probably beat it in under 10 hours.

It's funny that I have to pirate a game that I BOUGHT because ubisoftconnect is so trash that it keeps asking me for game keys that are no longer a thing. Not only that I can't have the option to connect my steam to ubisoft for some reason. I can't refund the game because it's past 2 weeks, I can't play the game because of some unknown reason, and know I'm forced to pirate something that I own.
