Battlefield 2042 had a terrible launch and it deserved all the criticism it got but after putting in hours, I’ve come to appreciate what it eventually became. It’s not on the level of Battlefield 3 or 4 which are still my top picks but there’s a solid game buried under all that mess. The gun-play feels good, squad play can still deliver that classic Battlefield chaos and some of the updates genuinely improved the experience. It still has its flaws, like weak map design and questionable balance but if you go in with tempered expectations, there’s fun to be had. It’s not the Battlefield we wanted but it’s no longer the joke it started as. As Battlefield 6 approaches in couple of days, 2042 is worth revisiting only if you want to appreciate how far it’s come and how far the series still needs to go.

They blocked my ability to play a game I was able to play before because of their new anti-cheat. There was no notice they were going to do this and no compensation for basically stealing from me.

Я заплатил деньги за вашу игру и больше не могу её запустить, поскольку эта функция, требующаяся после недавнего обновления (secure boot) НЕ ПОДДЕРЖИВАЕТСЯ на моей материнской плате. Говна поешьте, опездолы из EA. I paid money for your game and I can't play it because this feature (secure boot) is NOT SUPPORTED on my motherboard. Go ♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ from EA. P.s. тем имбицилам, что напишут что мол выкинь свой говнокомп и собери новый - нахера мне новый комп, если у меня летает 5 форза на ультрах и киберпанк на высоких? Моя ли проблема, что ea просто идиоты, которые своей маниакальной борьбой с читерами делают жизнь обычных игроков сложнее? По теме написал только 1 человек, который намекнул на другое название функции в биосе, но даже её включение не помогло, крашит с той же ошибкой. Я даже другую материнку пробовал, где secure boot так и называется, результат предсказуем.

после обновления надо копаться в биосе чтобы открыть игру, причём половине игроков не помогает это ну от EA ничего хорошего ждать и не приходится, eбaнаты

800 + часов, и теперь из-за обновления в котором принудительно заставляют включить SecureBoot, игра улетает в корзину, есть ощущение что в крупных компаниях решения принимают ОЧЕНЬ ограниченные люди.

This game actually DEMANDS that you enable Secure Boot in your BIOS to be able to play it... What... In the actual... Fu(k?!? Long story short, you are forced to enable Secure Boot in your BIOS, otherwise the game just won't start, and I don't even want to begin listing what's wrong with all of this... From potentially bricking your Windows install, to a bug found especially in MSI/GIGABYTE motherboards in which after enabling Secure Boot, everything is functional BUT the motherboard doesn't recognize any dedicated GPUs while sometimes not even POSTing (Power-On Self-Test)... Just...no. I'm gonna stop right here before I get too technical. I mean the list of things that can go wrong by fiddling with the BIOS Secure Boot is so extensive that it's crazy. Unplayable/10 - Such restrictions can only be implemented by mentally challenged people, so I guess now we finally know what kind of r3tards work at DICE (and EA).

На фоне всей этой суеты с Secure Boot остается только восхищаться CS enjoyerами с Faceit, которые для комфортной игры молча без истерик залезли в BIOS и нажали нужную кнопку. Геймеры с яйцами, не иначе. BF 2042 – Так себе BF 6 Open Beta – Восхитительно

Вместо того, что бы развивать игру и бороться с читерами , разрабы херней занимаются. Как включение ,( а она у меня включена) secure boot поможет защититься от софтеров. И какого хера при включенной этой вашей функции в BIOS игра все равно не запускается??? Я не собираюсь бегать вокруг компа с бубном и читать форумы , а как мне запустить этот кал ? Удаляю ♥♥♥♥♥ это говно, и всю серию Батлфилдов. Разрабы, обновите себе мозг и достаньте нормальные руки !!!!!!!! Не играйте в этот кал!

Ну нет, после BF1 и BF6 ощущается как мусор, за 74 гривны пусть лежит конечно в библиотеке, но дороже нет абсолютно нет.

BEWARE! The game has no story/campaign mode, only multiplayer and vs AI plus it's dead, wont recommend it.

Every game EA touches its gets cursed, good game yet a ♥♥♥♥ launcher you have to go through the whole sub reddit to find the issue then start the game hey EA cant we just press a button and start the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game

Мне игра показалась средней, почему я и не писал ни отрицательный, ни положительный отзыв. Свои деньги я отбил по эмоциям и забыл о ней. НО ЗАБИРАТЬ У МЕНЯ КУПЛЕННУЮ ИГРУ, ВКЛЮЧЕНИЕМ SECURE BOOT, которое не поддерживается в материнке, это вверх скотства. Меня не волнует secure boot в battlefield 6, так как это прописано при покупке, но эта игра уже вышла, и она у меня уже куплена, но теперь, я не могу играть в неё. EA не может жить без нового скандала P.S EA изменили режим secure boot и если материнская плата не поддерживает её, то включать её не надо. Какой смысл в таком случае вообще от неё и зачем уменьшать фпс, если читеры будут имитировать старую материнскую плату, загадка...

game is dead, you will sit in a lobby for hours waiting for a lobby to fill up with enough people to play a match, even with crossplay enabled and excellent connection, i really don't recomend this.

9834 hours played "Would not recommend." I bought Battlefield 2042 expecting a next-gen war simulator. What I got was a $60 tech demo where helicopters moonwalk and bullets take gap years before hitting anything. At hour 1, I thought, "This is rough, but it’ll get better." At hour 1000, I thought, "Any update now..." At hour 5000, I lost hope but stayed for the emotional damage. By hour 9834, I realized I was in a toxic relationship with a game that peaked in the tutorial. Some say insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results. I say it's playing 9,834 hours of Battlefield 2042 and still believing in patch notes. Would give it 2042 stars if I could. Out of 100,000.

After playing Battlefield 6, I genuinely think Battlefield 2042's maps are well-designed—they're vast and highly playable. They're especially friendly for snipers, with realistic bullet trajectories. In contrast, in BF6, sniper rifles barely reach 200 meters, and who knows when you'll ever unlock an 8x scope.

Очень капризная игра. Постоянно ей что-то не нравится. -Крашилась без всякой ошибки. Долго мучился с в чём дело. Оказалась проблема в свежем драйвере амд. Пришлось откатывать. -Игре не понравилось, что у меня был установлен Daemon Tools. Пришлось снести. -ЗАЙТИ В БИОС ЧТОБЫ ВКЛЮЧИТЬ SECUREBOOT ЭТО УЖЕ СЛИШКОМ! У игры постоянно проблемы с серверами. Выкидывает посреди боя. Игра сама по себе вышла не очень. Так вы делаете только хуже. Браво EA! Я терпел все эти проблемы, но когда вы выпустили обновление с SecureBoot, моё терпение лопнуло. У меня нет желания заходить в биос и искать там Secureboot. Я ПРОСТО ХОЧУ ПОИГРАТЬ, как на консолях. Включил игру и играй!

Don't buy this game unless you realize that you're forced to install EA’s anti-cheat. It runs at the kernel level, giving it more control over your OS and hardware than you have. You don't know what the chat is doing and what information collect and sent to EA about you and your PC. On top of that, it forces you to enable Secure Boot in your BIOS, which can cause serious issues if you've upgraded to Windows 11 from an older Legacy installation. In addition be aware that game requires a constant internet connection to run. Save your money if you value your privacy and system security.
