Zero Dawn.

A Masterpiece They took everything that made the previous game great and built so much more on top of it, creating a truly magnificent work. Simply perfect. It stands as a continuation fully worthy of God of War's story and legacy. The graphics and gameplay are impressive, while the atmosphere and environmental design are equally striking. Gameplay & Mechanics The gameplay is largely similar to the previous game, but it introduces several welcome improvements. It is very engaging and fun to play. The weapon and elemental mechanics from the first game return and feel better than ever. Of course, the main weapons are mostly the same as before, but we also have new skills now. One of the best additions is the Draupnir Spear. Since they used the 2018 game as a base, adding a new weapon made total sense. Some players might have wanted even more new fresh gameplay elements, but I already enjoyed the weapons and gameplay, so I didn't mind it much. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3377802061 Speaking of combat, let's not forget this: we still don't have those crazy old-school God of War boss fights. It is better than the previous game, but we still don't see those massive fights we loved. I think one reason for this is that Kratos is much calmer now and doesn't fight unless he really has to. Equipment Armor options and customization are done really well for a God of War game. Considering looks are not usually the main focus, they did a great job. Character skills and weapon upgrades are simple, effective, and offer enough depth. Story, Characters & Emotional Depth In this game, instead of focusing mostly on Kratos, we see more of Atreus (Loki) growing up and finding himself. It also feels like it lays the groundwork for a future Atreus game. Side characters fit into the story very well, and I liked most of them. Because of the game's length, we get to talk to them and know them better. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3377275991 Also, I have to say the emotional and dramatic side went up a level. Seeing Kratos openly express grief and even shed tears adds an entirely new emotional layer to his character. Showing his feelings much more clearly, adds a whole new emotional depth to the story. Lastly, having Freya with us in certain parts and using her skills was a nice surprise. The Atreus segments felt a bit boring at first, but they became much more enjoyable as the story progressed. They provide a refreshing change of pace and are important to the overall narrative. Boss Fights, World & Visual Design The world design is simply outstanding. It looks so good that even walking around doing nothing feels amazing. Every realm is beautifully crafted and full of detail. They also listened to feedback about bosses from the last game. There is a much better variety of boss fights, more enemy types, and the fights are harder. Still, I wished for giant boss fights like in the old Greek games, but these are good enough for now! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3376535698 Side Content, Puzzles, Audio Side quests and activities are not boring filler content; doing them is actually fun. The puzzles are just right: not too easy, not too hard, and they fit the game's pacing perfectly. Combined with LEGENDARY music (you wouldn't expect less from this series), the game offers dozens of hours of meaningful content. On top of that, receiving a free DLC of this quality is incredible. I'm honestly surprised Sony decided to release a DLC of this quality for free. Final No game is perfect, and there are still areas that could be improved, but they never take away from the overall experience. A perfect story, amazing performances, non-stop action, and smart additions make this a special game. Some people probably won't agree with me, but I think it depends on what you expect. God of War Ragnarök builds upon everything that made the 2018 game legendary and improves it in almost every way. Yonderly Score | SSS+ (100)

As a huge fan of the previous God of War, I had very high expectations for God of War Ragnarök, and it exceeded them. The game delivers an epic conclusion to the Norse saga with incredible storytelling, unforgettable characters, breathtaking visuals, fantastic music, and refined gameplay. The story is emotional, intense, and filled with powerful moments. It expands on the relationship between Kratos and Atreus while exploring themes of destiny, family, sacrifice, and choice. The narrative keeps you invested from start to finish and provides a satisfying and emotional conclusion to their journey. The characters are exceptional. Kratos continues to grow as a character, showing wisdom, vulnerability, and strength. Atreus takes on a larger role and experiences significant development throughout the story. New characters such as Thor and Odin are brilliantly written and leave a lasting impression. The visuals are stunning from beginning to end. Each realm feels unique and beautifully crafted, with incredible environmental detail, realistic character models, and impressive visual effects. The game consistently feels cinematic without sacrificing gameplay. The soundtrack is phenomenal and perfectly complements the emotional and epic moments of the story. Voice acting is among the best in gaming, with every major character delivering memorable performances. The sound effects make every weapon strike, spell, and battle feel impactful. The gameplay improves upon the 2018 game in almost every way. Combat feels deeper and more varied, with expanded abilities, enemies, and combat options. The Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and other weapons are all satisfying to use. Exploration, side quests, and optional content are rewarding and add many hours of meaningful gameplay. God of War Ragnarök is an outstanding sequel and one of the best action-adventure games ever made. It combines emotional storytelling, incredible characters, beautiful visuals, amazing music, and excellent gameplay into an unforgettable experience. It is a worthy successor to God of War (2018) and an epic conclusion to the Norse saga. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3436383270 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3434434412 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3438929193

🔥 My Twitchㅤㅤㅤ P.S. First of all, I want to say this game is a masterpiece. It has easily entered my top five games of all time. I will evaluate it through pros and cons and give my final score at the end. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3649723084 ✅ Pros The story is incredible, at least for me. As a sequel, it is one of the two best ever made, and in terms of story, it takes the first place. The gameplay quality is extremely high. SPOILER ALERT: once you get the new spear, the gameplay reaches a completely insane level. The world feels truly alive. Nothing feels pointless or empty. I absolutely loved it, and it is significantly bigger than the first game. SPOILER ALERT: The development of the relationship between Kratos and Atreus is amazing. After The Last of Us Part 1, this is the best character relationship development I have experienced in a game. SPOILER ALERT: Making peace with Freya felt really good, and the sections where we play with her were insanely fun. Thor and Odin’s designs are fantastic. They are exactly how I imagined them. They are challenging enemies, and I especially recommend playing on hard mode. The puzzles are much better designed and no longer overly simple, which I really appreciated. Enemy variety is excellent. There are so many different enemy types that it rarely feels repetitive. I also liked the number of bosses. Side bosses in particular have increased a lot. ❌ Cons There are way too many puzzles. After a certain point, they can seriously get on your nerves and cause frustration. At some moments, I actually had to put the controller down and just breathe. Atreus annoyed the hell out of me in the early parts of the game. Even though his development later is satisfying, I genuinely hated him at first. SPOILER ALERT: Atreus sections are extremely boring in terms of story and pull you out of the game. The only positive side is that the gameplay itself is fun, but the story is dull. Especially the Giant realm section, whoever wrote that part really messed it up. I expected more epic battle moments in the sequel, but unfortunately, they still felt lacking. Overall, I’d give it a solid 95 out of 100. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3648878083

To recommend or not recommend, that is the question >.> This game was a bit of a disappointment for me. Not because it is terrible per se. It’s just not as good as the last game. It still has the characters you love, the world and realms itself are beautifully done, interesting lore and the combat is entertaining. They have really stepped it up with the combat, giving you new weapons and characters to play around with. But compared to the last game, the story isn't keeping my interest and the puzzles are more of an annoyance. Especially the sigil arrow ones. Now I am willing to admit some of it may be player competency, but they just seem very finicky to the point that it is becoming unenjoyable trying to figure them out. Some of the new stuff is great but for the most part, I don't find myself rushing to finish this one. Where I loved exploring in the last game, I just want this to end so I am not doing side content. You can still feel the love put into this game which is why I will CAUTIOUSLY recommend it to fans. You can tell they wanted to build upon what was already there and give players something new, which I can appreciate. But sometimes less is more, and simpler is better. I am going to finish it because I am 40 hours in and want to see how the story plays out, but I would have been satisfied with just watching it on YouTube. Here's hoping for some redemption in the next installment *fingers crossed* Update: Ending almost made the 55 hour grind worth it >.< Really enjoyed it but my review stays the same. It was indeed an uphill battle.

Quick Sum-Up In-depth analysis further down. No AI was used to write this review. 🟩 Pros 🟩 • Well-written, engaging plot, alongside a cast of memorable characters that have distinct identity, great acting, and solid development as events unfold. • Superb combat system: it has many build choices, abilities and mechanical diversity, on top of varied enemies and unique bosses. It balances player skill and optimized loadouts very well. • Rewarding exploration with tons of side areas, secret locations and meaningful backtracking to obtain unique items and face hidden challenges. • Excellent boss design, with dozens of unique foes that evolve movesets as they get damaged, have special mechanics, and are a formidable challenge on the hardest setting. 🟥 Cons 🟥 • The highest difficulty scales enemies way above your level randomly during battles: they become stagger-resistant HP sponges that can often two-shot you. Textbook artificial difficulty. • Parrying is generally unrewarding until you acquire mid to late game buffs to enhance it. It’s not worth the risk unless you make a specific build around it. • The backtracking to 100% everything can be tedious due to the high amount of slow area transitions, and lack of fast travel in many locations. 🟨 Bugs / Issues 🟨 • Very rare crashes to desktop (2 in 80+ hours) in a specific area. • Using Steam Input with a DualSense controller may cause it to work incorrectly. Content & Replay Value: It took me 82 hours to complete GOW:R on the hardest difficulty, taking considerable extra time to 100% everything, except the DLC because I dislike roguelites; there’s more content if you want to play that, though. Aside from NG+ which unlocks some new upgrades and items, all other content is linear; there’s no reason to replay. Is it worth buying? Absolutely. GOW:R has plenty of interesting content to go through and a satisfying progression system. It’s worth buying for full price, especially for fans of the saga and third-person action enjoyers in general. Verdict: Excellent A great sequel for the reboot series, that expands lore, combat mechanics and gameplay features compared to its prequel, while retaining the same feel with very few downsides. Rating Chart Thanks for reading up to this point! Consider checking out and following my Curator, Tamaster's Review Archive. In-Depth Analysis Writing & Worldbuilding Overall, I found the main plot to be enjoyable and beautifully narrated, with characters having plausible personalities that change over time as a reaction to the events. Coming of age is the central theme of GOW:R, alongside maturity in general. Both Kratos and his son Atreus significantly evolve their beliefs and ways during the journey; the same goes for important secondary characters, be them allies or enemies. Apart from Odin sounding more like a Cartel boss from Breaking Bad than the majestic, imposing god he should be, the main issue with GOW:R’s narration is over-exposure during specific story segments: they’re rather dull and filled with uninteresting dialogue for the most part. Luckily this is an exception, and most of the narrative flows with an appropriate balance of meaningful dialogue, cutscenes and action. The worldbuilding is deep and crafted with care. Aside from dialogues, there’s plenty of lore documents to know more about each of the Nine Realms’ history, traditions, mythology and society both past and present. Of course, historical accuracy isn’t a concern, since there’s a fictional God of War fighting against deities of a whole different pantheon. Each location has a high level of detail, but not much in terms of environmental narration, save for a few exceptions; GOW:R’s world is interesting, complex and coherent: lore enthusiasts will have a field day with theories and speculations about its many yet-unclear mysteries. Exploration & Secrets You’ll explore the Nine Realms mostly on foot, the only exception being dog-powered sleds or rowboats in larger maps. Initially, you’ll be barred from visiting most of the locations, which are unlocked as you progress in the main story. Generally, there’s an alternation of linear sections with a few side areas off the main path, and large open-world sections with plenty of secrets and entirely optional sub-locations. In each Realm, there’s plenty of secrets to find, from legendary chests to unique puzzles, secret bosses, optional quests and a mountain of lore bits. The handy checklist included in your map keeps track, but in many cases it will be up to you to explore carefully, since nothing apart from quest-related objectives is marked on it. In many cases, you’ll have to come back later with proper equipment, skills or after specific events to be able to access multiple locations, which is a bit tedious, but worth your time in terms of rewards and additional content. Fast travel is available between static portals, which have to be backtracked to on foot, which is a bit annoying at times. Exploring every corner, ledge, pit and ruin is fundamental to get all the unique armor pieces, weapon parts, skills and crafting resources needed to upgrade Kratos and his companions’ gear to keep up with increasingly powerful enemies, especially at higher difficulties. Combat System Combat plays out in third person, with fast pacing and plenty of mechanics to consider, that evolve in depth as you progress. Kratos initially has two weapons, the Axe and the Blades, each with their own skill trees that progressively unlock as you upgrade them, and a third main weapon unlocked later in the story. Atreus will be his faithful companion, with his own dedicated skill tree, acting as a support character able to shoot special arrows and split aggro in the more chaotic battles. The system has been mechanically overhauled compared to the first GOW reboot: mechanics like perfect dodges and parries, status effects, stun bars to execute enemies, and a greater variety of enemy skills and unique abilities are all welcome overhauls. The combat gameplay heavily depends on your build type: some players may prefer ranged attacks, while others bank it all on high risk parries and status effects, or stunning enemies quickly to execute them. There’s a great variety of options, and the game encourages you to use all weapon abilities and experimenting with them with a Labor system that upgrades weapon skills the more you use them in combat. It’s not until mid game, however, that the combat system’s full depth and versatility truly start to shine. Expect highly spectacular finishers, devastating abilities, combos, and everything else that makes the GOW series great, but improved even further compared to its predecessor. Except for parrying, which generally isn’t as useful except when used in specific builds. Progression & Crafting As you defeat enemies and complete quests, you’ll gain XP to spend in upgrading your weapon skills, Kratos and his companions’ abilities, other than Runic Abilities and Relics, which act as additional skills with a cooldown. The materials you find from chests, get as quest rewards or drop from defeated enemies, particularly named ones, can be used alongside Hacksilver (currency) to upgrade Kratos’ armor pieces and weapons, granting better stats. There are many combinations between stats, unique passive abilities of each armor, skills and relics. This opens to a great class building variety not usually seen in other GOW games, in some ways similar to ARPGs. It’s a solid progression system that steadily rewards you with new set pieces, skills and interchangeable abilities to experiment with to find the best build for your playstyle.

I really wanted to like this game. I really did. I gave it a full 15 hours, convinced that eventually it would hook me. It never did. If anything, it felt like watching the dying gasps of Grandpa Kratos while longtime fans of the original series gather around his deathbed to pay their final respects. After forcing myself through yet another mind-numbingly dull puzzle, I finally shut the game off and went to play Hades II instead. TLDR: My biggest takeaways are the endless braindead puzzles, uninspired characters who constantly dump lore and trivia on you, and the surprisingly sparse amount of combat, even though the combat itself is great. This no longer feels like God of War. It feels more like God of Talk: The Endless Puzzle. Like many people, I grew up loving the original God of War games. As a teen, I was hooked. They were brutal, fast-paced, combat-focused, and exceedingly edgy. When the series was rebooted in 2018, it undeniably moved away from many of those elements, but I still enjoyed it. While the game focused more on world-building, exploration, and mystery, it still gave us glimpses of the old Kratos and enough nostalgia to keep longtime fans invested. With God of War: Ragnarok, however, I genuinely don't know what happened to either the writing or gameplay teams. Gone is the sense of mystery and discovery that made the 2018 game compelling. Instead, you're constantly bombarded with exposition. Want to hear a hundred facts about the history of the Light and Dark Elves that have little impact on your experience, story progression, or anticipation for future encounters? Don't worry, Atreus and Mimir have you covered. They'll happily talk your ears off while you're slogging through another series of pointless environmental puzzles. And oh my god, the puzzles. Those puzzles are, without doubt, some of the least engaging I've ever seen in a game. Move a mirror. Align an object. Throw your axe at a specific angle. Repeat. Sometimes you'll unlock a chest filled with loot that rarely feels meaningful. Other times you'll simply open another path toward the next puzzle. All the while, Atreus and Mimir blabber their endless stream of trivia about some ancient conflict, forgotten king, or the favorite slippers of the Light Elf Queen. And after they are done lore dumping, if you still haven’t solved the puzzle by some miracle or simply because you fell asleep out of pure boredom, the game panics and immediately splashes a bucketload of yellow paint by having Atreus or Mimir screech ‘Have you tried moving X piece to do Y?’ Fifteen hours in, there was barely any meaningful buildup toward future bosses or major antagonists. I never found myself looking forward to the next big bad because the game never gave me a reason to care. The bosses aren't set up properly as intimidating, mysterious, or particularly memorable. They're simply obstacles standing on the railroad tracks of the story. The only antagonist I was looking forward to encountering ever again was Thor, however, he hasn't made any appearance past the intro sequence for the rest of my time with the game. Odin felt more like a scheming old man rather than a wise and powerful being, and did not feel threatening or impactful in any way for me to care about him. Despite his ravens, or, as explained by the game, his eyes and ears across the nine realms being present in every nook and corner of each region as the stereotypical 'kill X amount' collectibles, Odin did not make an appearance either. Which was to my great surprise, as it would make sense for him to meddle with Kratos' quest to find Tyr and beyond, given the unamicable disagreement at the start of the game, and to further build him up as an antagonist in the story. To be fair, the original God of War games weren't exactly great at the set up of in-between bosses either. But the difference is that those games didn't rely on their storytelling nearly as much as this one. They were driven by a satisfying gameplay loop and brutally entertaining cutscenes. Ragnarok, on the other hand, clearly wants the story to be the main attraction. It absolutely is, because combat feels surprisingly rare. Unfortunately, the story never managed to hook me enough to justify that shift in focus. The storytelling itself rarely felt engaging. Cutscenes dragged on without offering much payoff, and much of the series' original brutality and intensity has been replaced with lengthy conversations about feelings, relationships, and world lore. None of that is inherently bad, but the characters delivering it often feel bland and uninspired. Few have particularly interesting personalities, dynamics, or character traits, and much of their dialogue quickly fades into background noise. A lot of it simply feels convoluted, unfocused, and uninspired. Ironically, the combat is fantastic. It is also the thing the game seems least interested in emphasizing. Whenever Ragnarok finally lets you fight, it's a blast. Kratos feels powerful and responsive, with a satisfying moveset that rewards mastery. Even Atreus is surprisingly enjoyable to play. Had the game leaned more heavily into its combat and trimmed down the endless procession of puzzles, exposition, and cutscenes, it would have been a much better experience for me. Instead, combat feels like the reward you earn for enduring hours of puzzle-solving and lore dumping. I understand that my opinion is very much in the minority. Plenty of people love this game, and I can respect that. But as someone who enjoys both great stories and great action games, God of War: Ragnarok didn't hook me on either of those aspects. It feels like a game that wanted to become a deeper, more mature narrative experience while still retaining its action game roots. In the process, it missed the mark on both. For me, it wasn't an engaging story, nor was it an engaging video game, and I regret the time and money spent on it.

WTF Sony you belligerent stuck up arrogant c*~!s. The game is fine, it's a good game, can be a challenge but really good fun, in-depth story and if you really want to set it to story mode you can enjoy a gentle stroll through the game without breaking much of a sweat. In depth characters, great story, mapping and scenery, everything about the game is good for the 15 hours I've managed to play by this point. It totally deserves a thumbs up and a good review. Sony have decided that gathering personal data from users on other devices in order to pad out their own database is far more important to them than offering people on other platforms a smooth gaming experience. I have managed to get about 15 hours out of the game so far, the game runs beautifully, looks great and I haven't had a single game error....... Sonys' service errors are pretty abundant though and stop the game from booting up in the first place. Today for example, I tried starting the game twice getting an error for failing to connect to sony's live service. Then twice more the game just hanged without doing anything but showing it is running in the background on steam. 5th time the game started and all seemed good, but for some reason the game didn't pick up my controller today so I couldn't do anything. I might try a sixth attempt after this review but WHY??? Why sony do I need to have access to your live services in anyway for a game that has no online live aspect. It is a single player game? Why have you forced someone who doesn't own a Playstation or any other sony products to set up a Sony account to play this game on other devices? And finally why are you so stuck up and arrogant about this that you would actually force non-playstation owners into a bad experience just so you can collect some more personal info for your data base ("Oh look how many people we have signed upto sony") You pig headed sons of B*!~?s. Just let people play the games they have paid good money for, because I have never footed a penny towards your live services and I wasn't interested in them but given the number of issues it is causing me I really dislike them too now.

This instalment doesn't greatly differ compared to its previous release, which isn't a bad thing as God of War (2018) was incredibly solid. If you take the new weapon addition and the range of shields you can get into account, you'll find it massively adds to playstyle versatility. You also have plenty of great fights, a captivating storyline and bunch of quests to look forward to. As Sony will stop porting their games to PC by default (they'll of course selectively change their mind if it benefits them financially,) this is one of the stronger titles you can play to end your PS port collection on a high note. Edit: -Restructured review. -For those wondering why my account doesn't have any playtime for God of War (2018), yet I still spoke on it. I played it on PS4 years ago, and I bought it again just so that I can have it on this platform.

Since I'm too tired to go really go into detail, I'm just gonna mindlessly ramble and fire off my thoughts for a bit. I liked God of War 2018. Loved the grounded father son dynamic. Loved the story, writing was great. Felt ehhhh about the combat until the last half of the game. Felt that the backtracking was terrible, but it's a cool game. Enemies are too health spongey. RPG systems are lame. I wanted more God of War 2018. Got Ragnarok. Played Ragnarok. Good game but gave me sour taste in my mouth. Combat is a step ahead of 2018 combat. Performance is several steps ahead of 2018, game ran very nicely at 134ish fps with no crashes whatsoever. Christopher Judge's portrayal of Kratos is stronger than ever. Ragnarok's story feels rushed. Pacing is full steam ahead and never slows down for any critical story moment. Characters act out of character. Characters feel like contemporary therapy patients rather than Gods you should be fearing. Marvel style quips undercut the emotional weight of the dialogue constantly. Asgard is really freaking lame, feels like a slightly bigger village. The Aesir (Thor's cool and has a great intro but is sidelined until ragnarok. Wasted potential.) are really freaking lame, especially Odin. Odin never feels powerful at all, he feels like a creepy old guy you meet at the golf course. He has no presence, I was rolling my eyes at him constantly. Atreus sections are absolute garbage. Atreus combat is simple as hell and is incredibly boring versus Kratos' combat. Feels lethargic, feels super shallow. Jotunheim felt incredibly boring and slow, Angrboda is really freaking annoying. Game slows down to snails pace and forces you to empathize with Atreus's teen fantasy romance world view with Angrboda instead of earning it. Atreus voice acting sounds terrible. Game bends over backwards to justify Atreus's actions when he is clearly wrong. Atreus in 2018 is a much more compelling character than Atreus in Ragnarok. Ragnarok event is really dissapointing. Ragnarok event in game was built up for 50 hours and turns out to be a really rushed, constrained and emotionally hollow battle for about 30 minutes. Ragnarok was treated as a narrative inconvenience rather than the mythical apocalyptic world ending event it was supposed to be. Dialogue feels way too modern for the era of time and mythology portrayed, literally everybody has a Californian accent except for Mimir and Kratos. Feels really jarring and couldn't properly immerse myself into the game. Combat has many improvements but it does have things that bug me still. New weapon is cool. No invinciblity in runic abilities gets annoying. Game feels bloated to hell. Backtracking is still really terrible, even more so than 2018. Health sponges are insane. Enemy variety has improved but it feels feel really poor since most of the new enemy types are just reskins. Animations lock you in for too long, some hitboxes are trash, game's cinematic obsession actively harms the combat because combat isn't as responsive as it should be. Game feels afraid of its own violence. God of War used to confront brutality directly, not skimp around and dumb it down. Violence is constantly contextualized. Every kill is morally justified. Every god is “misunderstood”. At least primordial forge area fight was fantastic. Game immediately gives you the solution to puzzles the moment you come across them. Game feels deathly terrified of the player getting lost, missing a story beat, or thinking too much. Way too much overexplaining and way too much handholding. So many forced walking sections, so many mandatory dialogue pauses. Exploration feels as if you have to hold your parents' hand in order to walk down the street. All of the realms feel like bloated corridors and are littered with collectibles to the point where it borderlines Ubisoft-like collectithons. RPG mechanics are still really lame and hardly changes anything about your playstyle. RPG mechanics feel as if they only exist to be filler. Build variety is illusionary, hardly ever exists in the game. Music is great at least. Blood on the Snow is fantastic. Hozier's best song easily. Bear McCreary is great at what he does. Game feels afraid to alienate anyone, afraid to challenge anyone, afraid to be cruel, afraid to be true to Norse mythology, afraid to be true to God of War. Game feels polished to perfection and sanded down until nothing sharp remains. I had fun but I'm ultimately disappointed. 2018 is superior in comparison to Ragnarok. 8/10 Elden Ring deserved the win at TGA entirely in every aspect. Ragnarok doesn't even remotely compare.

Great game. It’s everything the first one was, but bigger and more polished. There's more variety in environments and enemies, more environmental puzzles, and a deeper cast of characters with excellent acting. Combat is more varied, fast-paced, and fluid. Top-tier graphics and a great soundtrack.

I finished God of War Ragnarök, and now I need emotional recovery. This game did NOT come to play. It came to test my feelings. Combat? Clean. Brutal. Satisfying. Throwing the axe still feels illegal. The Blades are pure chaos. Boss fights actually made me sit up like I’m defending my thesis. Gná? The King of the Berserkers? I aged at least five years. And then there’s the story. Oh, the story. Kratos and Atreus really said, “Let’s explore generational trauma in 4K.” Their relationship feels way too real. The tension, the silence, the growth - it hits harder than any boss mechanic. And yes, I would absolutely listen to Mimir talk forever. Podcast when? And if you think the story, the antagonist, or even the side quests can’t surprise you - you’re wrong. This game will surprise you. More than once. Some twists I genuinely did not expect. Graphics? Unreal. Music? Emotional manipulation at its finest. Some moments feel so epic you just sit there like, “Oh. So this is cinema.” Is it slow sometimes? Sure. Do they talk a lot while climbing? Yes. Yes, they do. Did I still eat it up? Completely. This isn’t just a game about gods. It’s about letting go… and suffering respectfully.
