It was a thrilling experience. Coming from iceborne, expectations would be pretty much higher but it justified for me to an extent. PROS: I mean you can carry two weapons at a time which is a plus. Introduction of focus made so much sense. This mechanics is soo good but I do miss clutch claw cos bonking a monster to a wall was peak fun. Having a ride all the time is really helpful rather than Running always. You can grab anything from your ride which is really helpful. Getting clapped by AT Arkveld is the best. Smoothness in the gameplay.(It was trash people used to say but after TU 4.5 it's buttery smooth). The character can talk. You can pick up your traps once placed. Gog farming is good rather then wait for an event. Arena is good especially free arena quests. SOS flares will have offline NPC and online players which is a huge thing. CONS: If you are an iceborne player, the monsters felt way too easy. Seikret lives in his own world sometimes. Not a con but I do miss my thorny boy(Nergigante) and clap master Rajang. They should add these two. Final Review: I was a bit skeptical because people were saying poor performance reported but for my case it was buttery smooth. Genuinely speaking I enjoyed the game a lot, even after endgame grinding was super fun. From getting clapped by AT monsters to successfully soloing Proof of a hero the journey was worth every penny. If its on sale and you are a franchise fan do buy it as it will not disappoint. Can't wait for the Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance. Final Rating: 9/10 Happy Hunting hunters.

For anyone who prepurchased this game, bought it on release, or even shortly after, the new "Gold Edition" is massive extorsion. With 69.99+€ for the base game or upgrades and more paid for other DLC items, the base price of the current base game or DLC Collection would have already been covered. 10€ up and you could have had every single item that is now available. I purchased the base game and 14 DLC items bringing me at least to 100-110€ spent on the game. With that i could have bought the Gold Edition or the base game + the DLC Collection separately. Now i would need to spend another 59.99€ to get the rest of the DLCs with 14 items i wouldn't be able to receive and i can't even get a refund. The sheer fact that upgrading to the DLC Pack would cost me almost as much as the base game on release is horrendous. For loyal players who have been devoted to this game and the series to be abused like this is truly disappointing.

As much as I love the monster hunter franchise, They just too greedy. Premium deluxe customer should get convert to gold edition for free. They love newcomers so much that they ignore old customers.

Steam Deck verified is a joke when it can't even keep a stable 30fps with minimum graphics settings and ultra-performance upscaling. Looks awful and runs ever worse...

When I think about Monster Hunter, I think of having to explore a map, learning the layout, find and keep track of the monster I need to fight, being careful about my positioning and commitment to moves, and having to fight a monster more than once or twice to finally get the equipment pieces I want or need. This game does nothing of the sort, and what is still present here, is heavily disincentivized. Maps are uninspired, uninteresting, just a blur of a single color, nothing striking, nothing cool. Which would be an issue if you had to learn them, but "luckily" mr. Capcom is here to save you from a problem they themselves created: here is a mount that will automatically Uber you to your destination, no need to find the monster, it does that for you, no need to stop to gather materials, you can do that from range by selecting what you want from a list of nearby sources, you dont even need to aim at them you just need to press a single button. Combat is laughably easy at the core, are you using a weapon that can block? You now have perfect blocks, and even the strongest attacks can be nullified completely that way, no need to get points in guard or guard up skills. Attacks can be redirected and corrected, even mid-swing in some cases, you don't need to position yourself, to consider what the monster is doing or could be doing, the game simplifies everything for you. This time, as the awful gimmick that every monhun game must have, we've got Wounds. You hit a part enough time and it gets wounded, which makes it take more damage until the wound is destroyed, making the monster fall down or flinch. The issue is, you can just stunlock a monster to death with this, from the weakest of them to the final monster of high rank. But hey at least there's no wirebugs. All in all this is just a mediocre game, but just that would be not enough for me to just tell people to not play it, these are my thoughts, other people might like the extreme streamlining of the game. What definitively tips the scales to a "don't bother just grab World+Iceborne its cheaper and better" is how the story is done and the complete removal of flavor from the game: The game is on rails for quite a long time, you are very often stuck walking or riding along your marvel quips-dialogue riddled npc characters, and you cannot skip these sequences that last for a relatively long time. And they must've thought they really were cooking for this one because they removed the monhun language so you get to experience all of it in an actual language of your choosing. Flavor text from the npcs in quest boards? gone. A village like in every single other game? hope you weren't expecting Pokke or Seliana, gone. The music is nice but few tracks manage to stand out, the rest is okay, not bad but nothing that makes you go WOW or look it up on youtube. It really gives the feeling of shareholders meddling after seeing that MHW was their best selling game ever, and devs somehow being confused and maybe scared about what to do with this one. It's not awful, it just feels flavorless, there's no seasoning. It just feels corporate. Your money is better spent on Monster Hunter World + Iceborne, or if you already own that, just go back to it, there is a reason that game still has as many active players as this one does.

Not recommended and here's why As someone who has spent a few thousand of hours in Monster Hunter: World, Monster Hunter Wilds feels less like an evolution and more like a regression. The biggest difference is that World respected the hunt. You had to learn maps, track monsters, pay attention to footprints and environmental clues, and gradually master each locale. In Wilds, your Seikret automatically takes you wherever you need to go, monsters are immediately marked, and gathering materials is reduced to scrolling through a menu and pressing a button while riding. Exploration has become little more than a loading screen you can control. Combat has undergone a similar simplification. World rewarded positioning, commitment, and knowing when to attack or back off. Every swing mattered because overcommitting could get you punished. In Wilds, attacks are far more forgiving, weapons can correct their direction mid-combo, and perfect guard trivialize attacks that previously required proper preparation or skill investment. It feels like the game constantly tries to save you from making mistakes instead of asking you to improve. Additionally the Seikret also ends up feeling like a safety net rather than a meaningful gameplay mechanic. Being able to instantly mount up and ride away from danger makes avoiding attacks far too simple in a hunt. Another step backwards is the decoration system. Splitting decorations into weapon-only (offensive) and armor-only (defensive) slots sounds like it should encourage build variety, but in practice it does the opposite. It makes min-maxing far more restrictive and limits player creativity. In World, you could fine-tune your build however you wanted depending on the slots your armor provided. In Wilds, the game decides where entire categories of skills are allowed to go, making builds feel more rigid and less rewarding to optimize. One of the most satisfying parts of Monster Hunter: World was being able to squeezing every last bit of efficiency out of a build. The new Wound system only makes this worse. While it's satisfying the first few times, it quickly becomes repetitive as monsters spend huge portions of hunts staggered or knocked down. Rather than learning a monster's moveset, you're often just waiting to pop the next wound and continue the chain of free damage. Then there's the atmosphere. Monster Hunter: World had Astera and later Seliana—hubs full of personality that felt alive. NPCs had memorable dialogue, quest descriptions added personality, and the world itself encouraged you to slow down and appreciate it. Wilds replaces much of that charm with long, unskippable story sequences filled with constant dialogue that rarely says anything interesting. Instead of feeling like a hunter carving out your own adventure, you often feel like you're being dragged through someone else's movie. The maps themselves are also a step down. Beyond their appearance, the environments lack the layered design that made World's locales so memorable. Areas don't feel like interconnected ecosystems with unique landmarks and routes to learn. Instead, they often come across as broad, simplified spaces. The maps may be bigger on paper, but they feel shallower in practice, making exploration far less rewarding. Instead of making you feel like the hunter driving the story forward, Wilds often makes you feel like a bystander following NPCs from one cutscene to the next. Major plot points happen around you rather than because of your actions, leaving the overall narrative feeling disconnected and surprisingly forgettable despite the amount of time it demands from the player. To be fair, Wilds isn't a bad game. The core Monster Hunter combat is still enjoyable, the monsters are well designed, and the visuals can be impressive. The problem is that Monster Hunter: World already exists. World asks more of the player, rewards mastery, and gives every hunt a stronger sense of purpose. It has more personality, more memorable environments, and a gameplay loop that remains satisfying even after hundreds of hours. Wilds feels streamlined in almost every aspect, but in doing so it also strips away much of what made Monster Hunter special. It's smoother, more accessible, and more cinematic—but it's also less rewarding. If you've never played either game, I'd recommend Monster Hunter: World + Iceborne first without hesitation. It's cheaper and, in my opinion, delivers the better Monster Hunter experience.

I am so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sorry for whoever owns the SD because whoever says the game verified (which technically true) really hate their audiences because the graphic looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abysmal. If it can't run with a decent experience, why bother to give people's hope and says its verified. Its disgusting from Capcom for those who owns the SD.

I bought the Premium Deluxe Edition because I wanted to support the game, only to receive around 20% of the DLC that has been released. Even though the game has always had optimization issues that made my PC struggle, and despite the muddy graphics, I continued to support it because I genuinely enjoyed the game. I never left a negative review because I believed in what the developers were building. That's why the new Gold Edition feels like a slap in the face to early supporters. New players can now buy the base game and all the DLC for a much better price, while those of us who supported the game from day one paid full price for the game and the DLC over time. What's even more disappointing is that there are no meaningful loyalty discounts for existing owners. Even after already owning the Premium Deluxe Edition and purchasing some of the DLC separately, we'd still have to pay almost full price to get everything included in the Gold Edition. Loyal players who supported the game from the beginning should be rewarded, not end up paying the most for the least value. My advice to anyone considering buying this game: don't buy it right now. Wait until it's heavily discounted or until a complete edition is available. You'll get a far better deal than the players who supported the game from day one.

older monster hunter fans will try and convince you that this game is bad because its "too easy" and then when you go play gen u or another old monhun game the whole experience feels like getting your balls forcefully vaporized multiple times over because of how clunky and slow the controls feel. do NOT get mind controlled by them. Wilds is good. Focus mode is cool. The combat feels insanely smooth and intuitive. And NEVER let someone try and demean you cus u didnt start on some ancient esoteric 4000 year old secret monster hunter game that only released in china and the only way to control your character is by dancing on a ddr pad while having electric currents running through nipple clamps and a buttplug or something. These guys are just like Fromsoft fans, i swear.

Pros: Cross-platform. Most of the weapons are easier to use. Cons: As a long-time Monster Hunter fan, this game felt like a slap in the face. The worst part about the game is probably the ridiculously bad difficulty scaling. Past Monster Hunter games gave you tough hunts from the start, making the campaign fun and engaging. In this game, none of the fights are difficult until you get to end-game, which means the first 30+ hours of the game play like a boring slow-paced tutorial. Was this game made for toddlers? I genuinely don't understand how the designers could have messed up the difficulty this badly. There is a magical feeling that Monster Hunter games used to give me. This game doesn't do it for me. Even though the graphics are probably technically higher definition, I still found this game the most visually ugly Monster Hunter game I've ever played. The environments, weapons, and armors look bland and dusty. The characters look boring and lifeless. It looks and plays like it was made by a massive corporation trying to make money rather than a game design studio that actually loved and cared about the project they were working on. Also I hate that there is more cleavage and immodesty in this game than any other Monster Hunter game. I recommend Monster Hunter World if you want an epic Monster Hunter experience more like AAA title games. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate if you want to really experience old-school Monster hunter at its best. Monster Hunter Rise if you want a super fun fast-paced experience that basically gives the player super-powers. I love all three of these games and I'd probably choose MH Rise as my overall favorite.

Alright, I'm going to keep this short and sweet(This was not short at all). I don't really like the current negative reviews of the game, so I want to write my own that testifies against them. Anything I say should be taken with a grain of salt. I can very well agree that the story of the game is very underwhelming, and I basically snoozed my way through it. It felt like a forced session of constant walking. There are more reasons why I disliked it, but I can't pinpoint them. PERFORMANCE A constant dislike with the game is the overall performance; it has come an insanely long way if I am honest. From beta, where I'd always get 34 fps with a lot of laggy frames, to now, where I am at least averaging 50+ fps in even the highest quality of areas, is amazing. I've had my current pc for a few years, and it only cost a thousand dollars, the literal bare "minimal" for a gaming pc. If I can run this game with zero crashes, then maybe those people crashing should really study their pc's better and find the issue. DIFFICULTY SCALING A lot of old Monster Hunter players are sh*tting on Wilds for being too "unbearably easy" in the early game, when the game's difficulty is literally scaling in the same way as any other Monster Hunter game. My first game was Rise, and I solo'd every hub quest, not knowing that the monsters had buffed hp there without a hint of struggle. For MH:WLD, I haven't got stuck in it's early game once either, I have only quest failed on Nergigante, a built different monster. And even then, what's wrong with a game's early game being easy? Everyone's experience with a game's difficulty is subjective. Is that not what an early game is? Why is Wilds being sh*tted on for being easy? Positioning has never been hard in world or rise until MR, so that doesn't make sense either, really. I can completely understand the dislike of focused slash attacks; however, they completely trivialize the game against monsters that aren't arch tempered or certain tanky tempered monsters. This crutch is almost non-existent in the endgame, though, against monsters that are arch-tempered. Also, a quick nitpick that people make, auto-moving seikrets are optional; if you hate them so much, then don't use it, stop whining about it. If you like exploring so much, then turn your map off. You bought the game, you can make it more enjoyable for yourself, but you just don't. VISUAL APPEAL(Very subjective subject) Artistic value can be very subjective, yes, but many argue that Wilds has by quote, "the most unoriginal coloring and scheme of any other monster hunter game," which is plain out exaggeration. Wilds takes place somewhere in the New World that is completely unknown, with a very low human population. While world is the "First time exploration OF THE NEW WORLD", it's of course going to look very colorful and bright because that's how it literally felt like to the hunters. It's like a child wandering into a candy shop for the first time. Wilds takes the view of an experienced hunter wandering through unknown lands with different locales and monsters, everything is gonna look like a single color and look exactly what it is. Another negative thing that people have been saying is how uninspired the areas look. I personally disagree; the simplicity of the areas is exactly how they should be. Not every forest is shaped like World's Forest, which becomes a glorified maze or a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ treacherous climb up a tree just to reach a Rathalos. A desert/plains biome looks exactly how you'd think it would look. As the name suggests, "Iceshard cliffs" is a very cold frozen area where monsters matching the environment's elements thrive. Oilwell basin is a...Oilwell basin that is very hot. To me, there is nothing wrong with this simplicity. The art style from World and Wilds is two different things and was made this way purposely.
