500+ hours on PS4. 78 hours on Steam. More than 20 playthroughs. Some casual, some challenge runs, some speedruns. Far Cry 5 is one of those rare games that I never really stopped coming back to. A lot of people talk about Joseph Seed when discussing Far Cry 5, and for good reason, but what keeps me returning isn't just the villains. It's Hope County itself. Ubisoft created one of the most memorable open worlds I've ever explored. The forests, rivers, mountains, farms, backroads, and small towns make Hope County feel like a real place rather than just another open-world map. Even after dozens of playthroughs, I still find myself wandering off to hunt, fish, fly around in a plane, or simply drive through the countryside listening to the radio. The setting remains one of the strongest parts of the game. The gameplay is classic Far Cry at its best. It's chaotic, unpredictable, and sometimes completely ridiculous. One minute you're quietly clearing an outpost, the next you're being attacked by a bear while a cult convoy crashes into a fuel truck and your companion somehow turns the entire situation into a war crime. Those unscripted moments never get old. The hunting and fishing deserve more credit, too. They're simple mechanics, but they fit perfectly into the atmosphere. Some of my favorite memories aren't story missions at all—they're just spending time in the wilderness, fishing by a lake or tracking animals through the woods before heading back to fight cultists. Speaking of the cult, Project at Eden's Gate is still one of my favorite factions in gaming. The Seeds are memorable, but what really stands out is how believable the cult feels. The sermons, the propaganda, the music, and the constant presence of Eden's Gate throughout the county create an atmosphere that few games manage to achieve. Hope County genuinely feels occupied. The cult isn't just an enemy faction; it's part of the world's identity. And then there's the music. "We Will Rise Again" and "Help Me Faith" are still among my favorite tracks in any video game soundtrack. The cult choir songs are beautiful, unsettling, and strangely catchy at the same time. Years later, I still find myself listening to them outside the game. Very few soundtracks become this closely tied to a game's identity, but Far Cry 5's absolutely does. Is the game perfect? No. Some story moments can be frustrating, and the forced captures are still controversial. But despite its flaws, Far Cry 5 has something that many technically better games don't: a personality that sticks with you. I've played through it more than 20 times, and every time I leave Hope County, I eventually find myself coming back. For me, that's the highest compliment I can give a game. 9.5/10 Only You...

I like the plot, the locations are beautiful, the gunplay and driving feel just right. And it runs surprisingly well on my low-end PC. Why the negative review? Ubisoft Connect. I honestly can't leave a positive view to any game with that piece of сrар included. Why on earth would you make so much trouble for the people that BOUGHT the fиcking game? It constantly creates problems with connection, synchronisation, and like 50% of the time you can't even open the game on the first try. It is horrible and I genuinely and wholeheartedly hate it. The game is awesome though. If you don't care for the achievements and convenienсe of Steam Library - just go get it in the "frее stоrе".

The reason is simple: the game stopped working correctly. The problem: It takes forever to load a game, something that didn't happen with my current PC. And Ubisoft is once again releasing poorly made games that stop working over time. It happened to me with Assassin's Creed Unity, then with Ghost Recon Wildlands. The former literally crashed when I walked around the environment, while the latter had the same problem as Far Cry 5. Solution: There isn't one. In fact, you'd have to mess with your motherboard's BIOS to disable multithreading to make it work, and even then, not perfectly. If you're going to buy this game—because let's be honest, it's good—you're playing Russian roulette. It might not work for you. Fortunately, Steam allows refunds, so I recommend you try it. If it loads quickly, great, you don't have that problem. But if it takes more than 4 to 5 minutes with an SSD, you should request a refund immediately. It's a real shame that such a big developer abandons its games without support, leaving us, the users, to fix things they should have done themselves. I guess we're to blame for patching them, when the best thing to do is just stop buying from them. Even if you're thinking of buying a good game, if it says "(Created by Ubisoft)," just ignore it. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches and money.

FAR CRY 5 КОНЕЦ СВЕТА Моё знакомство с этой игрой получилось спонтанным и проходил я её с друзьями и знаете - это хорошо, потому что положительных впечатлений осталось больше, чем упреков. Игра дала те эмоции, которые я не получал от кооператива давно, но почему же одиночная кампания и игра в ко-опе отличается и почему эту я считаю в топ три серии "Far Cry" . https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3434263492 ВПЕЧАТЛЕНИЯ Первые впечатления ошеломляют контрастом. Постановка кадра, харизматичность персонажей и сцена провального ареста, когда вы понимаете, что весь округ принадлежит фанатикам, а не закону, сегмент игры мгновенно затягивает. Округ Хоуп прекрасен! Бурные реки, леса и фермы — это один из самых визуально приятных открытых миров, но по мере прохождения игры, транспорта достаточно для всего. По миру есть побочные задания, рыболовство и охота. В голове начинает крутится только одна мысль: «Как в таком райском месте может твориться зло?» Far Cry 5 ломает стереотипы серии, помещая игрока до боли знакомую сельскую местность. Но за всей этой идиллией скрывается культ "Врат Эдема" , и ваша задача — не просто выжить, а стать героем восстания. СЮЖЕТ Вы безымянный "Новичок или Салага (как многие называли)", помощник шерифа, и ваша миссия — арестовать или убрать Иосифа Сида , харизматичного лидера культа. Сюжетная структура Far Cry 5 смелый эксперимент. Вместо линейных миссий на карте, вы набираете "очки сопротивления" в трех регионах, борясь с тремя лейтенантами Иосифа. Есть три региона и за ними следят несколько его "родственников" - последователей. Иоанн, Иаков и Вера . Все они важны для сюжета и да, если проходить его выполняя побочные задания в регионах, ты находишь очень много интересных нюансов в записках (самое интересное, что последовательность не важна для сюжета, что даёт больше свободы). Также, мне понравилась система похищения, хотя многие плевались от этого. Иосиф Сид, не выглядит картонным злодеем, как многие боялись. Он тихий, жуткий и, кажется, искренне верит в грядущий "Коллапс". Сид предсказывает апокалипсис, и к финалу вы с ужасом понимаете, что он был прав. Концовка игры — одна из самых смелых в сегменте данного жанра. Кампанию можно полностью пройти с другом, правда прогресс сохраняется только хозяину. Плюс его только в атмосфере самой игры и захват баз, которые надо отбивать по сюжету. В эту колонку хочу также добавить дополнения. DLC игры позволяют выпустить пар и окунуться в совершенно иные миры. Моё любимое - это "Hours of Darkness" - Это серьезный, камерный стелс-экшен во Вьетнаме. Минимализм, джунгли и чувство, что враг повсюду. Лучшее дополнение из трех по атмосфере и геймплею. Здесь нельзя умирать или каждый твой выстрел - это ошибка, которая может стать роковой. "Lost on Mars" - Абсолютная самоирония. Мы сражаемся с марсианскими пауками и летаем с помощью джетпака за одного из героев основной части ( Ника Рая ). Диалоги между Херком и им уморительные и смешные, однако слишком короткое и пустоватое дополнение, хоть и забавное. "Dead Living Zombies" - Набор сценариев для зомби-режима. Сделан скорее для фанатов редактора и быстрых сессий. На один раз. Кстати о самом редакторе, попробуйте поиграть или что-то создать, вас может затянуть на несколько часов. ОПТИМИЗАЦИЯ (i5-9600K, RX 5700 XT, 16 GB) - Мои настройки В Full HD 1920x1080 - Стабильно 90-110 FPS на Ультра-настройках. Движок Dunia Engine 2 благосклонен к видеокартам AMD, а 5700 XT с 8 ГБ видеопамяти — а моя видеокарта настоящий зверь для 1080p и 1440p. Обязательно скачайте бесплатный пакет HD-текстур, если ставите на SSD (а игру обязательно ставить на NVMe/SATA SSD, чтобы избежать подгрузок мира при полетах. Потому что я сначала не понимал откуда микрофризы образовывались. СТОИТ В НЕЁ ИГРАТЬ СЕГОДНЯ? Однозначно. Геймплейно Far Cry 5 доводит формулу серии до совершенства, но не изобретает велосипед. Самый главный плюс по мне, больше не нужно забираться на радиовышки, чтобы открыть карту. Мир изучается естественным путем: разговорами с NPC, чтением карт и квестов, что заставляет исследовать каждый уголок карты. Система наемников реализована лучше предыдущих частей. Теперь вы можете взять с собой пса Бумера , снайпера Грейс или штурмовика Херка . Но главные звезды тут — "Специалисты" вроде медведя Чизбургера , страдающего диабетом, или горного пумы Персика , который выносит всю банду культистов в стелсе и многие другие... Боевая система простая до примитивности. ИИ противников иногда поражает глупостью, но реконструкция оружия выглядит куда лучше. Достаточно просто верстака и ресурсов, которые разбросаны по всей карте. Однако многие квесты сводятся к "пойди-убей-принеси", что под конец игры уже утомляет. Однозначно стоит, особенно если вы получите издание с дополнениями по скидке. За прошедшие годы игра не устарела. Семья Сидов — одни из лучших злодеев в истории серии, а саундтрек хочется слушать при любых моментах в игре. Главные недостатки — глуповатый ИИ и немой протагонист, который мешает поверить в драму происходящего.

It's honestly a good game. The game can be quite buggy sometimes, but not like game breaking mostly funny/odd stuff tend to happen. But it's very buggy when you play co-op (Or as I like to call it, Desync Cry 5.), atleast in my experience with it. Would I recommend this at full price? Not really, but you do you. I love Cheeseburger, he's the best character in the whole Far Cry franchise.

Even on sale this isn't worth it. How this is "Very Positive" is mind blowing. Ubisoft isn't even a shadow of it's former self. Just break it up, sell of the IPs, and if we're lucky someone who actually cares about quality will carry some of them forward. Flight mechanics are awful. I swear they were designed by someone who's sole understanding of flight was reading a toddler level book about some kid getting to ride in a plane. Enemy AI? What AI? Enemies are morons. They're just there to absorb bullets. Enemy respawn? Clear a random hotspot, go 50 ft down the road, turn around, and they're all back. Why did I waste all that ammo. Cleared an actual outpost? Great now 20 civilians show up and they can magically hold the place now even though they couldn't before you showed up. Put a suppressor on your weapon? The item description says it makes the weapon "virtually silent". Why can everyone in a 2 mile radius still hear me killing people then? Rescued an allied NPC? "Hey I've got you covered!" No, no they don't. They're too stupid to do anything effectively. Even in a car with a mounted gun they just stand there staring at the scenery half the time while you're getting lit up by 10 enemies. Taking an NPC fighter with you? Don't bother stealthing. Your helper will just constantly give you away when they run around like they need to find cover 2 ft from an enemy. Far Cry used to be fun. This is absolute garbage. I wish I could refund it.

Despite for probably not having the best story or villain but wise gameplay, guns and etc this far cry is very fun and fluid. This game best played with your friends because so many silly things do together XD althought the join server might slight complicated but once you manage it then you'll wreck the city together lol. I love we can have companion animal and PET them :D best feature!!!! The cult villain actualy is promising and intersting plot but sadly bit part of how they deliver the story might be bit let down, you need more resreach to grasp the true meaning of villain purpose because sometime it can be little confusing if you dont paid attention well enough to that aspect. There no much new stuff or like very big upgrade from previous far cry, still being very classic shooter game in generic. But i like how simple the game setting is and how well the guns play be and this is funnier experience co-op than we have in FC 4. Co-op here gladly can doing story mode together and its very fun to complete the game with ur friends! The cosmetic guns, costume, weapon also is have much variety as from cool one to stupid one. Sadly i think it need be purchased or like grinding, i was kinda forget because i was just using mods for unlokcing those cosmetic. After all i like this game because of how simple & fluid the gameplay actually, it help much of the lackness of depth story. Not the best FC story but gameplay wise is a stable fps FC and very smooth gunplay as well is very big point for FC 5. I think this FC is great game co-op! but even if you play alone its also still fun, although i assure you for playing this with friend is very blast!!! there so much things to do and bit ridicilous side mission XD which is fun btw. More recommended grab this game on discount :) because fairly normal price there more better game than this XD Bit minus is maybe sometime the ubisoft launcher always annoyed me whenever i want play the game because it can constantly ask you to re-login just for playing the games -_-

Summary: Discover the open world of Hope County, Montana, besieged by a fanatical doomsday cult. Dive into the action solo or two-player co-op in the story campaign, use a vast arsenal of weapons and allies, and free Hope County from Joseph Seed and his cult. ------------------------------- What is in the game: This game consists of an open-world single-player story mode with 3 difficulties that you can also choose to do in coop. This open world is filled with missions, shops, and items to pick up. There is also something called the Far Cry arcade; I think it's how you do custom levels, but I never used it. ------------------------------- Thoughts: I did not fully play the game, so take my review with a grain of salt; I just can't really get into it and found the game really mediocre. The gameplay just really isn't that engaging for me. I can see this being a fun turn-your-brain-off game, but maybe I just came for the wrong type of game. I felt like there would be a much stronger narrative and was expecting that, but I found this game's writing and storytelling really lackluster and not feeling as serious as I hoped. I guess I just wasn't expecting a game that felt as satirical. The main antagonist was really interesting to me in playing this game, but I don't think it lived up to my expectations. He is great, but the rest of the cast drags it down with their annoying writing and just very generic and unlikable characters. I really don't want to get through 3 more way less engaging villains just to get to the main guy. I will say the setting is awesome and the opening is a really good hook, but it wasn't strong enough for me to keep playing after seeing what the rest of the game is like. So yeah, I think the game is mediocre and just not really my thing. I don't feel like continuing it and don't recommend it. ------------------------------- Mid PC Optimization: On my system it runs fine at 60fps the majority of the time but will get some terrible stuttering when moving between areas. The game seems decently optimized; it could just be my outdated system. ------------------------------- Time to Beat: 18 and a half hours for the main campaign, according to HowLongToBeat. ------------------------------- Price: ☐ Buy it full ☑ Wait for sale ☐ Don't buy it ☐ Free If you still really want to play it, wait for a sale or get a key. ------------------------------- Graphics: ☐ Amazing ☑ Good ☐ Average ☐ Bad ☐ Awful It visually has aged well, with a good setting and nice-looking graphics. There's a lot going on visually most of the time. ------------------------------- Gameplay: ☐ Very Fun ☐ Fun ☑ Meh ☐ Bad ☐ Awful The gameplay isn't bad; it's just really mediocre. The movement feels fine, and the guns feel alright but are really inaccurate. The enemies you fight are also really stupid with very basic AI that isn't engaging to fight. The missions are really repetitive, and there are very limited types of mission types that, for me, get old fast. Most of the game will be either walking, driving, flying, or boating around the world, going to missions or just exploring. I don't hate that gameplay loop, but I personally don't find the world full of engaging enough missions in this game. Like I said, there's a very limited selection of objectives; you are basically doing this repeatedly until you liberate an area and, I assume, fight a boss. There's also collecting items and buying weapons and crafting; this system feels really tacked on. You can really just get 1 weapon you like and stick with it forever. It's alright; it could be much better. ------------------------------- Music: ☐ Amazing ☐ Good ☑ Average ☐ Bad ☐ Terrible ☐ None It's alright, mostly banjo music, gospel music and other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ music. If that's your thing, you will probably enjoy it a lot, but for me it's just alright, kind of obnoxious sometimes because there's a radio pretty much everywhere on the map playing music. ------------------------------- Bugs: ☐ None that ive seen ☐ Not impactful ☑ Negatively affects gameplay I had a few instances where walking too far away from NPCs would cause them to restart their dialogue, and in one instance it broke the NPC, and I had to kill them to fail the mission; multiple pieces of dialogue would be played at once and a few other small things. ------------------------------- Side-Notes: Ubisoft launcher and account are required to play this game.

Far Slop 5 Ubislop game, what else can I say. Something to grab during a heavy sale and wait until you're bored enough to actually play it for the first time in your life. Unless you're a crazy Far Cry fanatic - not worth getting for the full price, ever. Not even gonna mention microtransaction in what's basically a single player game only as no sane person plays multi. For people having issues on: - AMD (100% CPU util) Go to the Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options -> Change it to High performance -> Change plan settings -> Change advanced power options -> Under "Processor power management" and then "Maximum processor state" change the value to 99 and apply the changes Use it for Far Cry 5 only as it locks your CPU into not being able to boost higher than the base max frequency resulting in lower performance of your processor - Intel (long loading times) Go into your BIOS and disable E-Cores / Hyperthreading Less ideal than the AMD solution but that's what u gotta do for wanting to play this abomination of a game and choosing Intel

Tried it, hated it. Really don't get all the positive reviews. First cutscene - so yeah, the intro - already lost me over the idiotic story writing. Gameplay, mouse movement first of all feels clunky. And when we tried to Coop with 3 persons we were being told, our party was too large. Nice. Would refund if I could.

I bought Far Cry 5 expecting a fun open-world action game with a lot of action, based on the reviews and the way the game was presented. Unfortunately, my experience was completely different. First of all, I am very disappointed that my refund was rejected simply because I had played the game for around 4 hours. The problem is that Far Cry 5 is an open-world game, and a large part of those 4 hours was spent on cutscenes, dialogues, tutorials, loading, settings, and learning the game mechanics. Four hours on the playtime counter does not mean four hours of actual gameplay. When I started the game, I had absolutely no intention of requesting a refund. I was trying to understand and enjoy the game. How was I supposed to know that I had to make a decision within only two hours? By the time I realized that I didn't like the game, the refund limit had already passed. As for the game itself, I found it extremely boring. The story did not interest me, and the gameplay was very disappointing. I expected much more action based on what I had seen in reviews and videos. Instead, the gameplay often feels like this: run through the forest, encounter two or three enemies, kill them, keep running, find an outpost, and repeat. That's basically the gameplay loop I experienced. I also really dislike the shooting mechanics. I found it difficult to hit enemies, while enemies could kill me very quickly. Maybe this is partly a matter of personal skill, but combined with the boring gameplay, it made the experience even worse for me. I actually enjoyed Far Cry 3, which was included in the same bundle, and I was willing to keep Far Cry 3 and pay for it separately. But Far Cry 5 is simply not a game I want to play. I gave the game a chance, but I didn't enjoy the story, the gameplay, the shooting, or the overall experience. And I'm especially disappointed that I couldn't get a refund because several hours of playtime were enough to exceed the refund limit, even though much of that time wasn't actual gameplay. Not recommended for me. Very boring and not the action-packed open-world experience I expected.

Уничтожаем секту шизиков в лице троих братьев и сестры, которые всех садят на наркотики, а неугодных отстреливают. В сравнении с 4 частью намного слабее в сюжетном плане. Графике тоже слабее. Развлечений стало больше, а испытаний меньше. Приятная езда и стрельба. Игра сугубо на один раз, ибо в 2026 есть в разы интереснее варианты. Брать только по скидке от 80%

Купил игру. Не пускало в юбисофт аккаунт. Пытался зайти три дня. В итоге оформил возврат но деньги так и не пришли... полный кал

As my first Steam review, I felt the need to write something about this game cause holy moly, this is by far one of the most repetitive, unrewarding coop games I've ever played. The only good things are coop and syncing being well done; however, playing this game halfway through felt like a chore, since I just wanted to see the ending to get it over with, only to find the "true" ending behind a DLC. Not to mention Ubisoft Connect and its myriad of account issues in the aforementioned reviews. Do not buy this at full price; get it from any key shop or wait until it's on sale.

Ubisoft Connect sux a$$. I've brough this game on my other PC so my son can play with me, I've tried everything to get another Ubi Acc, (other email addresses, etc) but its BROKEN !!!! DO NOT BUY !!! REFUND !!!

Can't play the game without a Ubisoft account, and when I try to make an account on their external client, it wont even let me. This never happened when I played this game on console years ago, I guess the 85% discount makes sense on steam since the Ubisoft client prevents you from reaching the main menu in the first place. Quickest refund of my life. If you want to replay this game, you're better off playing it on console.
